Our local authority client, based in East London are looking to appoint an experienced Team Leader or an officer at Principal grade to provide 1 year FTC maternity cover. The EH team have entered an exciting period with extra investment to get the team food law compliant following the pressures of COVID19, with the introduction of a new cloud based database system that provides new opportunities and flexible ways of working as well as embarking on growing the team.
The Borough has over 3600 food businesses with 60 applications for new business registrations being received each month! This is a very busy team covering the full range of food safety & standards, health & safety and infectious disease investigations. If you have drive, energy and enthusiasm this is the place for you.
You will be jointly responsible for the management of day to day service delivery and ensure the challenging remit is met. You will performance manage the team as well as provide detailed reports on progress on the service plan. You will report to the Regulatory Services Manager. You will be provided with training, support and the ability to grow in terms of the experiences you will gain from working in an inner London local authority.
This role requires an experienced and qualified Environmental Health Food Officer. You must have a minimum of 5 years of working within a Local Authority setting, preferably at Principal level. You must be EHORB Reg, hold a minimum of 20 hours CPDs and have completed the Matrix Competency.
This is a full time post, hybrid working may be negotiated and the contract is covering Maternity Leave. Rates on offer are negotiable and we are happy to submit you based on your required rate.
