Our client, based in Lincolnshire are looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Health Practitioner, to lead a busy Environmental Enforcement Team. You will be asked to manage officers with a range of technical and regulatory experience ensuring a customer focussed approach. The successful candidate is encouraged to review and shape service improvements to both policy and operating processes. You must be self-motivated with excellent relationship, and operational management skills to mentor and support staff in the delivery of a range of issues including statutory nuisance, fly tipping, waste duty of care, stray dogs and abandoned vehicle investigations. You will be required to support staff to deliver a graduated approach to enforcement utilising the full range of regulatory sanctions. They need you to manage a team of Environmental Enforcement Officers delivering across a range of community and environmental issues including environmental protection, environmental crime and other matters affecting the street scene and amenities of our community.
To be a success in this role you will have a degree or its equivalent in Environmental Health and a sound working knowledge of the relevant regulatory frameworks, experience of conducting environmental permit inspections and processing of permit applications and you will be required to work in the Office in the town centre and carry out visits and inspections across the borough. A full driving licence is essential.
