As a Senior Service Development Officer (Programme Manager) you will lead reviews of key areas of delivery for children and families by working alongside practitioner leaders to review and plan services, understand areas for development and develop innovative solutions for improvement; including short, medium and long-term projects, finance, service and business plans. The work will focus on our client’s work programme to ensure that more children in care and care leavers are supported to access high quality accommodation.
You will will have a key role in leading and delivering the whole continuous improvement and project life cycle for a range of development and transformation projects. A key requirement of your role will be to led on building working relationships and collaboration across the division, wider council and multi-agency partnership. You will manage and hold allocated budgets for services and transformation programmes and you will carry out financial planning for services and the review and sign off on budgetary reports.
We are looking for a very established programme manager with a proven track record operating as a senior manager in a Local Authority environment. You will need an excellent working knowledge of the national and local context for Children & Families Services, including Early Help, Safeguarding, Looked After Children, Care Leavers and Youth Offending Services.
To fulfil the role of Senior Service Development Officer you will need extensive experience of carrying out business analysis, systems development and implementing process and policy. It is essential that you are able to operate in a challenging and sensitive environment and using negotiation and effective relationship building to ensure positive outcomes
Our client is a Local Authority based in South / Central London, close to London Bridge. They will initially offer a 6 month contract with a day rate of £500 (inside IR35).
