Full Description
Our client is a local authority based in the East Midlands and they require a degree qualified Town Planner to carry out a role within their Development Management Team. Your work will focus on dealing with a caseload which comprises of complex minor to small major planning applications, customer enquiries and appeals etc. On a daily basis you will be completing reports, carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.
Recent work experience in the field is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format. Supervision experience is desirable but not essential.
The role will be offered for an initial 3 month period and the rate offered is £35 - £40/hr Umbrella. This role is inside IR35.
