Osborne Richardson have a contract opportunity for a Project Manager (Construction) to join a busy and dynamic local authority in East London. Our client needs a candidate with a surveying or construction background, preferably chartered (e.g. MRICS, MCIOB) with at least 3 years of experience working on a diverse range of projects as a Programme/Project Manager.
Are client is looking for someone that can:
• Act as technical Lead for this project providing advice and support for the delivery of services in the context of construction and in accordance with the current legal framework (Building Safety Act, Fire safety and Leaseholder legislation)
• Identify and assemble a project team
• Using internal and external resources ensure tasks are completed to prepare for tendering e.g.:
• Specification
• Pricing
• Contract
• Data pack
• Lead the evaluation panel during tendering.
• Assist with drafting of any reports, briefings etc..
• Once main works contract is awarded, ensure regular reports / updates are available e.g. progress on site, quality, spend, resident satisfaction, risks etc.
• Ensure effective performance monitoring/ management of contractors and technical consultants
• Contribute to finance reports (cash flow forecasting and budget returns)
Our client is looking for someone who can show experience in leading projects, meeting budgets and timescales and be self-sufficient. You will be required to demonstrate experience of having progressed multiple programmes/projects through to completion.
At this level our client will expect an appropriate degree level qualification and ideally professional accreditation within your field.
This contract is inside IR35 and the rate offered is £335/day Umbrella. Initially this will be offered as a 12 month contract. Our client offers hybrid working arrangements which can be discussed with the hiring manager.
