Full Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Planning Officer within their infrastructure team. You will join a small, busy team and your work will focus on dealing with major infrastructure planning cases.

Working as part of the wider Strategic Planning team you will work with colleagues across the planning division to produce local and neighbourhood plans. A key focus of your work will be managing the process around section 106 agreements. You will play a vital role working on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects as our client is located in a notable hot spot of activity, particularly related to energy projects.

We are looking for someone with specific experience on national infrastructure schemes as you will need to be aware of specific planning regulations in delivering these type of schemes. It’s most likely that you will come from a planning policy background but if you are a DM Planner who has also gained this type of experience you may also apply.

The initial contract will be 3-6 months but given the scale of the projects and their longevity there is scope for this contract to extend long term. They will expect you to be in the office 4 days per week and they are based in Suffolk.

The rate will be £45-£55/hr (umbrella) so we are looking for a very well established Planning Officer.
