Our client is a Surrey based local authority who are seeking a Senior Planning Officer for a contract which runs to the end of March 2025.
You will manage a workload of planning and related applications, present applications to Planning Committee, defend the Council’s decisions on appeal, provide professional advice on pre-application proposals, and to give general planning advice to members of the public.
As a Senior Planning Officer you will also be responsible for larger and more complex applications, supervision of planning technicians and/or junior planning officers, and deputising where required for team manager.
Applicants should be qualified town planners with experience of managing a caseload of major applications.
