Working for a client in East Anglia you will manage a varied caseload of planning issues, some at a County level.
As a Senior Planning Officer you will be given a high level of autonomy as you will be working in a small team and therefore expected to undertake all related activity with regard to managing planning applications end to end. You will have support from junior staff but ultimately you will be tasked with providing timely, clear and effective professional advice to the public, councillors and colleagues on a range of planning matters, which may include Minerals and Waste policy and S106 related queries.
The focus of your work will be development management and we need someone who is comfortable managing a mix caseload that will also include some more complex applications. As required, you will attend enquiries and you will lead on formulating response to neighbourhood plans and major planning apps.
This is a really great opportunity for a Degree qualified Planner to take on a lot of responsibility, manage a varied caseload and be paid a market leading rate of £44.50/hr.
Our client is a Local Authority so you must be able to demonstrate significant experience in a similar role. They will expect some office presence so you must be willing to attend as required.
