Our client is a local authority in Yorkshire which requires a Senior Conservation Officer to join them for a contract role and take responsibility for the processing of heritage and conservation within their Town Planning team.
You will be responsible for handling pre-application advice, applications, negotiations with developers, appeals and enforcement work. You will assist with the strategic planning and regeneration process by providing specialist advice on historic buildings, conservation of the built environment and urban design, ensuring that the historic and architectural fabric of the borough is safeguarded, enhanced and makes a positive contribution to the renewal of the Borough.
Applicants for this post must have at least 5 years post grad qualification in Town Planning and relevant post qualification experience in a planning environment, of which a significant element must relate to conservation and the consideration of listed building issues.
Our client offers hybrid working, office days are Thursday and Friday. Applicants must be located within a commutable distance and must have own vehicle as will be expected to do site visits.
Our client is offering an excellent rate of £40/hr Umbrella and this role is inside IR35. This will initially be offered as a 6 month contract.
