Full Description
Our client is a Local Authority in North London which requires a Class 2 or Class 3 Registered Building Inspector to take up a contract role.
In accordance with the scheme of delegation, the you will be responsible for decision making on applications for building regulations and the enforcement and management of development under the Building Act, plus decision making in respect of key areas of work undertaken by Building Control services (including safety at sports grounds and Entertainment Licensing etc).
You will need a good knowledge of building construction, building regulations and associated legislation alongside excellent communications skills – written & oral – with the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public, colleagues and managers, council members and external agencies.
The contract will be at least 3 months, but there could be potential for an extension beyond this.
The rate will be a minimum of £55/hr (umbrella), but our client is open to discussions around the rate depending on your experience and the level you are registered to with the BRI.
Our this is a hybrid role and plan checking can be carried out from home, but you will need to be able to carry out site inspections in North London as and when required.
