Our client is a Local Authority in the heart of central London. They are offering an initial 3 month with scope to extend significantly given the works programme. The day rate is £405.94 (inside IR35).
They have awarded two major contracts for the building envelope project at the Chalcots Estate, involving both traditional build and design-and-build contracts across five residential towers. As part of a dedicated Project Team, the Quality Inspector (Operations) will oversee the temporary relocation of residents and manage day to day operations to ensure smooth execution of the construction works.
This role will be key in minimising the impact of the works on residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the project. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating resident relocations, managing contractor collaboration, and ensuring the post-construction aftercare process is effectively handled. You will work closely with contractors to ensure health and safety compliance and the delivery of high-quality construction outputs. With a focus on both operational oversight and resident engagement, you will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets all community expectations.
We are looking for a Building Surveyor / PM with significant experience managing complex estate construction projects. You will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience managing relocation schemes alongside your construction management skills; we would expect an appropriate professional accreditation. Specifically, you will need to have experience in leading the coordination efforts for Pest Control, Damp & Mould, Decluttering and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) repairs (e.g., boilers and electrical work).
