Project Assistant sought for a Central London local authority.
In this role, you will support the Mechanical & Engineering team by updating records, managing compliance documentation, and ensuring data accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Track and update compliance services such as electrical and gas safety checks and certificates.
Maintain and update spreadsheets and trackers for the M&E team.
Rename and organize file names for certificates.
Conduct mail merges and prepare letters for delivery.
Update the MRI Asset system to record completed tests by contractors (e.g., GEM or Axis).
Hand-deliver letters to properties and document the delivery with photos for record-keeping.
Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks as needed to support the compliance function.
Requirements:
Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally with exposure to compliance tracking or M&E support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with data entry and mail merge processes.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
A proactive approach and willingness to visit various sites within the borough.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
