Our client is offering a contract role as Principal Planner in a DM team. You will be responsible for the day to day management of a major strategic development site encompassing 1,800 homes, as well as retail and commercial floorspace. The application is at the very early stages so there is potential for this role to go on for some time.
We need someone who can demonstrate extensive experience operating at this level and a proven track record managing large scale strategic development sites. It is essential that you cam demonstrate experience of dealing with Public Inquiries, negotiation on large scale development and the experience and ability to shape a scheme to ensure that quality development, together with supporting infrastructure, is delivered.
At this level, we are looking for those with RTPI accreditation alongside high level communication and presentation skills. You must be able to communicate with people of different social, economic and professional backgrounds and you will need strong skills in conflict resolution
The client can offer flexible working but they do required office presence on a Wednesday of each week. You will need a driving licence and a car insured for business purposes. They are based in Surrey.
The rate is £59/hr (umbrella).
