Our client is based in Bedfordshire and are looking to recruit a Principal Building Control Surveyor on a permanent basis. Their BC team is responsible for Regulation and Compliance through advice and enforcement at scheme appraisal and determination and site inspection during the construction phase. Key Regulatory areas covered are health, safety, sustainability, energy and accessibility.
As Principal Building Control Surveyor you will provide expert compliance advice to users, investigate and enforce compliance matters and complaints and collect and maintain accurate Building Regulation and Building Control records.
You will play a lead role in managing the validation of applications and assessment of fees and planning assessment and site inspection services. You will be expected to deal with more complex Building Regulation cases and provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues.
To apply for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of Building Control processes and experience working in a building control service within a Local Authority setting. You will need experience dealing with a range of BC scenarios in both urban and rural locations. It is essential that you are a registered and experienced Class 2 F Building Control Inspector.

The salary is £50,085 - £54,047 and they will offer a range of benefits.
