Full Description

We have an excellent opportunity available with a client in Hampshire who are looking to appoint a Pollution Control Manager.

Reporting to the Head of Service, you will lead a team dealing with all aspects of pollution control.

You will be expected to make full use of your expert knowledge of pollution matters including statutory nuisance, Environmental Permitting, planning consultation, land contamination, air quality, and water quality and drainage to lead other team members and ensure successful service delivery.

As the Pollution Control Manager you will lead investigations work, you will manage the enforcement function of the Local Authority and you will provide expert advice to other departments as required.

The role will hold budget responsibility and you will be required to produce and deliver service plans and make use of performance data to assist in the effective management of the department.

You will work closely with the Head of Service to ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations, legislation and professional codes of practice.

Our client is based within easy reach of Southampton so you will need to be able to work in the office as required; they are open to those looking to relocate and may be able to provide assistance.
