Full Description
Our client is a Local Authority based in South London and they require a degree qualified Town Planner to join them for a contract role within their Development Management Team. Your work will focus on dealing with a caseload of householder and minor applications planning applications and you will be providing expert technical advice at every stage. On a daily basis you will be completing reports, carrying out site visits where required and representing the Council at committee.
Recent work experience in the field is essential, our client is happy to consider people with a minimum of 12 months experience, and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
These roles will be offered for an initial 6 month period but there is potential for them to be extended beyond this. The rate offered £25.70 p/hr umbrella.
