Full Description

We are looking for an accomplished Interim Deputy Mechanical & Electrical Manager with experience managing Local Authority projects. This key role involves managing contractors, overseeing performance, and ensuring that service delivery meets critical KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support across key service areas, including Electrical, Lighting, Lifts, Mechanical, Legionella, Domestic Gas, and Communal Gas services.
Manage and oversee performance of contractors, ensuring compliance with agreed KPIs and quality standards.
Lead and manage a team of 20 staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, such as Programme Board and Contractor Core Group meetings.
Oversee the management of multi-million-pound contracts across both repairs and capital programmes.

To be successful in this role you will need to hold a relevant qualification in mechanical engineering and/or electrical services as well as a membership in a professional institute such as CIBSE, CIOB, or RICS. You must demonstrate extensive experience managing contracts and delivering large-scale programmes in social housing or a related environment. Have proven ability to manage large teams and lead complex projects effectively and strong contract management expertise, including overseeing multi-million-pound contracts.

The initial contract will be offered for 3 months, but it could be extended beyond this date. The rate of pay offered if £419/day umbrella (this role is inside IR35). Our client is in Central London so you will need to be prepared to work at sites across the Borough.
