Osborne Richardson has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Interim Head of Facilities Management & Capital Projects to join a Local Authority in Merseyside for a contract role.
Reporting to the Assistant Director – Asset Management you will be the lead officer for all facilities management, capital projects and health and safety and compliance within the asset management function of the Council.
Key area’s for this role will include:
• Health and Safety – you will be instrumental in driving forward the improvements in various H&S areas including; Asbestos, Working at Height, Electricity at Work, Permits to Work and CDM. Experience of working closely with the HSE is also essential.
• Capital Programme – There are a number of projects currently on the way, but the main focus initially will be a number of school projects which are on tight delivery timescales.
• Estates Transformation and Corporate Landlord function
Applicants for this position must have significant experience of leading teams in the public sector on major Capital Programmes and have extensive Health & Safety experience within Facilities Management. You must clearly demonstrate delivery in the above areas on your CV. You must also hold a relevant degree and have an Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) Qualification, a National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Qualification and a Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyor (RICS) Qualification.
The role has initially been released as a 3 month placement, but there is potential for it to be extended. The rate offered is £875/day Umbrella and this role is inside IR35.
