Head of Development Management

Osborne Richardson have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Interim Head of Development Management to join our client, a busy forward thinking Local Authority based in the South West.

Working alongside the Director of Planning, you will be responsible for the performance of the Development Management service, providing leadership to the team and ensuring the appropriate determination of planning and related applications and planning enforcement matters. Leading on improving the culture of the Development Management service to ensure that the service is operating in accordance with our clients ‘Our Identity’, is customer focused and striving for continuous improvement.

To apply for this role it is absolutely essential you have recently worked at this level for a UK Local Authority and hold a relevant degree in Town Planning. A RTPI Membership would be beneficial. Proven service transformation experience and strong people management skills are absolutely essential as you will be managing staff from a diverse range technical disciplines. It is essential that you can work well under pressure and that you can communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders.

The rate offered is £550/day Umbrella and this role is inside IR35. This is a hybrid role with a 50/50 split between office and home working.

The role is role has initially been released as a 3 month contact but could be extended. The closing date for applications is the 18th March at 12pm.
