Our client is based in central London. They are offering a market leading rate of £749/day (outside IR35).
They are looking to appoint a Group Building Control Surveyor to carry out a role within one of 3 multi disciplinary area teams. You will administer the full range of Building Regulations functions with regards to large, complex & non-complex projects within a defined geographical area.
'Large complex projects' are those that involve the construction of major new high-profile developments and whole building refurbishments of any size or height and for all types of use.
On a day to day basis you can expect to be vetting plans, details, reports, calculations and other information submitted for compliance with the Building Regulations and drafting Consents/Approvals, letters and e-mails in response on behalf of the District Surveyor.
You will be carrying out site inspections of works in progress to check for compliance with the Building Regulations and informing the Contractor/Client of any deficiencies requiring further action.
The role is initially offered on a contract bass for 3 months but is fully expected to extend. There may be the option to take the role on a permanent basis if you are interested in future but there is no obligation.
