This is a hybrid role with expected onsite 2-3 days per week.
Job purpose:
The postholder will ensure the highest standards of fire & building safety They will as part of a wider team ensure that Tower Hamlets Council meets the requirements of all Fire & Building Safety legislation and they will respond to technical queries from external agencies Write specifications for remedial works and manage those works through to completion. To provide technical advice relating to fire and building safety to other colleagues in relation to capital projects Work with external consultant fire engineers to complete specialist surveys such as FRAEW, intrusive FRAs etc. Provide expert technical advice on the application and interpretation of fire safety guidance Must Haves 1. Min 5 years as a Building Surveyor of which fire safety is at least 3 2. Ability to be onsite 2-3 days per week 3. A relevant technical qualification? 4. Experience of managing fire related complex remedial projects in housing environment.
