Full Description
Our local authority client, based in North London are looking to appoint an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer with experience in Environmental Health or Housing Standards to join their Residential Enforcement Team. You will be dealing with Housing standards in the private rented sector and issues including HHSRS inspections and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO). For the bulk of the role you will be asked to process Mandatory, Additional and Selective licence applications to ensure that rented homes meet the correct standards as well as reviewing floorplans to check for adequate means of escape.
In order to be considered, you will need a qualification in Environmental Health or the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) or have experience in dealing with the above for 3 years or more.
If selected you will be offered a 3 month contract (that is likely to be extended) and the client is will to pay up to £40PH.
