Our client is looking to appoint a Building Surveyor on a contract basis. They require a registered building inspector at Class A to D or A to F.
Your work will focus on implementing and enforcing the current Building Regulations and allied legislation, and to deliver Building Control services including giving advice to applicants and other departments.
You will manage your own caseload under minimal supervision and daily tasks will include developing inspection schedules, investigating and carrying out enforcement where necessary and carrying out work around dangerous structures.
Our client is looking for someone with extensive experience in a similar capacity and a detailed understanding of the building control function within a Local Authority setting. Applicants must have passed their competency assessment and be registered with the BSR.
The role is based in South East London and the initial contract will be 3-6 months but given workload this is fully expected to extend. The day rate is £450 (inside IR35).
