Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Building Safety Manager for a contract role to lead the compliance and safety efforts for the council’s high-risk residential buildings. This pivotal role supports the Principal Building Safety Manager in ensuring adherence to the Building Safety Act 2022 and fostering a strong culture of building safety across the organization.
You will be required to prepare and submit Building Assessment Certificate (BAC) applications for our clients high-risk buildings, act as the primary liaison with the Building Safety Regulator and other key stakeholders and collaborate with internal council teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance. You will also work closely with the Fire Safety Team to maintain safety across all high-risk buildings and support the Development Team in maintaining the Golden Thread of Information for new high-risk buildings.
To be considered for this role you must have an in-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. You will also need to have experience in residential building management, operations, and construction projects. A strong understanding of legislation applicable to residential buildings and construction activities, proven track record in delivering customer satisfaction in a local government setting and demonstrable experience liaising with residents, leaseholders, and stakeholders.
Our client is a Local Authority.
They will pay £370/day (umbrella) and this role is inside IR35. The contract will initially be for 3 months and our client is based in Central London. They also offer hybrid working.
