Excellent opportunity to secure a role in Central London working for our Local Authority client.
You will be tasked with supervising an area of the borough to ensure compliance with building control legislation. On a day to day basis you will assist with the implementation of service delivery, quality initiatives, recovery of fees and charges and managing a caseload. You will help check documentation and contribute to reports on individual cases.
As a Building Control Technician you will work under supervision of more senior officers so this will be an excellent chance to continue your learning and development.
We are looking for someone at the early stages of their building control career who has ideally gained some experience in the public sector but those from the priavet sector will also be considered.
Please note that this role will involve site based work that involves carrying out site inspections of all types of building work in all stages of construction and may include the use of ladders and scaffolding and the descent into excavations so you must be comfortable with this aspect of the role.
Our client is based close to Kings Cross so they have excellent transport links. The contract will be at least 3-6 months with scope to extend.
The rate will be a minimum of £30/hr (umbrella).
