Our client requires a Class 2 C/D Registered Building Inspector to take up a contract role offering a rate of £70/hr (inside IR35).
Based in Essex, the purpose of this role is to enforce the Building Regulations within the District, meeting the Councils’ statutory obligations under Section 91 of the Building Act 1984 and Building Safety Act 2022. This role is also responsible for the operation of building control to achieve its effective and efficient operation in accordance with the Council’s policies. Please note that this role requires regular attendance on site 2-3 days per week.
You will need a good knowledge of building construction, building regulations and associated legislation alongside excellent communications skills – written & oral – with the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public, colleagues and managers, council members and external agencies.
Ideally you will have access to a car for business purposes to allow you to easily travel to site visits.
