Our client is seeking a Registered (Class 2) Building Control Surveyor with the following responsibilities:
Review plans for a diverse range of construction projects.
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations.
Provide Building Control advice through various channels (phone, email, in person).
Inspect dangerous structures during regular working hours.
Participate in the out-of-hours dangerous structures rota.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and correspondence.
Support the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors.
Assist the Principal Surveyor and Head of Building Control with additional team duties.
Required Skills:
Degree in construction or equivalent qualification, preferably with a Band C Building Control Surveyor Registration (BSR) qualification.
Full corporate membership status with a recognized professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
Minimum of seven years' experience in Building Control.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Eagerness to learn and develop both soft and technical skills.
Strong team player with a sense of responsibility.
Initial contract is for3 months but likely to be extended.
5 days per week / 37 hours
Driving licence essential, as is access to a car and business use insurance.
