Our client is a North London council seeking a Building Control Team Manager and a Principal Registered Building Control Inspector for contract roles.
The Team Manager is required to cover while the post -holder is acting up to Assistant Director. The requirements of the role are;
To lead on and deliver a high quality Building Control service.
To act as the principal technical adviser and expert on Building Control matters and to be responsible for technical and legal compliance with the Building Acts and Building Regulations.
To make decisions in accordance with an appropriate scheme of delegation in the capacity of Registered Building Inspector (Class 3/4 expected)
The Principal Inspector will lead and manage a professional team within the Building Control service. Your role will be:
To assist the Building Control Manager in providing expert technical advice
on building control matters. To supervise and co-ordinate the day to day
activities of a plan checking and site inspection team in relation to technical
and legal compliance with the Building Acts and Building Regulations
